The Little Pond

The Little Pond

Looking at the smooth surface
Has the pond changed at all?
The trees and plants have grown
The shores have eroded ever so slightly
Animals come and go seeking cool water
Birds dart down from the sky to catch a fish
Water flowers float silently in a summer breeze
In the distance frogs sing their songs
Looking at the surface the pond has not changed
Still and quiet it looks as it did a forever ago
Beneath and above it is an ever changing universe
Alive, moving and thriving
Yet the water stays eternally calm
If only the rest of the world could be like that little pond

Thank you Rob, so much beauty still around all one has to do is see it! Luckily you do so often in words and because of that can share such simple beauty and calm with so many!
