The Lighthouse

The faithful guard lighting the way
For the ships and poor sailors out at sea
Ever on duty till the break of day
Helping poor sailors escape and be free
Till the sun burns the shadows masking the light
The lighthouse unlocks the door to safety
This is how it stands each and every night
Poor sailors out on the ocean blue
Guided by the tower against which darkness cannot fight
Listen carefully, in case this is ever you
So you may never be lost on the sea to roam
Ask the poor sailors. They will vouch this is true
The lighthouse beams light more pure than the sea's foam
The lighthouse will guide you safely back home
