Notes About The Poem

The Light of Night

In the twinkling of an eye All the saints of God shall fly Fill the air with the ones who bother To know the Lord as their Father In glory, there will be those sufficient All is well, alive and so proficient Bringing justice to the ones who hurt With the chance to give the final alert There will be those who are led to give All their hearts to the joy found to live Others will go where they fill led by His spirit To show the universe that life is so near it Amazing miracles shine through the night Bringing answers so gentle and so bright Filling the world with a sense of free verse Where joy awakens my private universe Wherever you are and whatever you do Know that this heaven is so gentle and true Opening its doors to those who show love Sent by the One who inspires from above My Private Universe Poetry Contest Sponsored by Julia Ward September 23, 2020

Excellent tribute to the God we serve. Angels in heaven are shouting "Glory" at your placement here. Love the pic too.

"...joy awakens my private universe," what a beautiful expression of both gratitude and awe, Gina. This is such a tender picture of our "home." Congratulations on your win!

Oh yes I believe in miracles, two have happened in my life one with my Father who had cancer and was given 6 weeks to live and went on for nearly two years more. The 2nd was my lovely baby boy. I lost my first child when he was 5 days old, but a year later I was pregnant and had a beautiful baby boy, a man now who I love and treasure. Good luck in the contest, awesome poem Regina. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jennifer, how brave you are. An unbearable tragedy. It's wonderful to hear of your recovery and wonderful son.
