The Late Madiba
The late Madiba,
May your soul receive the honor
For your true patriotism
For your fight for justice
For your heroism
You stood up against the evil apartheid
But that wasn't smooth
It cost you a lot
For more than two decades, you were behind the bars
That was a lot
It was such a painful journey
That was passing through a thicket
But that did not stop you!
You kept anticipating
For a better tomorrow!
Tomorrow of freedom!
You emerged as so prominent
For your forgiving spirit
For your selflessness and generosity
You influenced the world
Your words were so kind, unifying, and peace-making
You were such a great icon
Your life added up to something great
A long-lasting legacy was made
