The Last Page

Those days, like pages, have flipped by;
     now seniors in late years are we.
I read, observe with a deep sigh-
     so many are still here with me.

     the yearbook's website, I can view
so many are still here with me-
    but one page lists those missing too.

The yearbook's website, I can view
     those dear old friends, at their young age;
but one page lists those missing too-
        the obit list on the last page.

the obit list on the last page.
     Those days, like pages, have flipped by.
