The Last Good Days of Innocence
The last good days of innocence
are dying with the blood spilt soul,
going away when we cursed our existence
refusing to embrace sanctity.
The last good days of innocence,
are leaving with the guilty lies of deceit,
strong enough to strangle even the
smallest amount of truth.
See the last good days of innocence
slowly creeping away and being raped
by the cacophony of greed, lust and
above all the lack that will destroy us.
Yes, those were innocent days….
days when you believed in the
possibility of everything and anything
days when you simply believed something
good was in the air and it smelled sweet.
And now innocence is lost from
sights scene by the naked eye, unholy
and unwholesome
that cannot be forgotten.
