The Infinite

The infinite stares back at me
from there across a great divide,
so unimaginably wide,
so far beyond where eyes can see.
Perceive a singularity?
I cannot grasp, although I’ve tried,
the infinite.

I entertain bewildered glee
somehow to gain the other side.
To take an interstellar ride,
imagining how I can be
the infinite…

It has a nice, light, airy feel to me. Going to have to add that one to the list of forms to keep working with!
