The Infinite

The infinite stares back at me from there across a great divide, so unimaginably wide, so far beyond where eyes can see. Perceive a singularity? I cannot grasp, although I’ve tried, the infinite. I entertain bewildered glee somehow to gain the other side. Hmmm...this is a new form for me, Jeff, and I like it. I must give it a try. It's sort of like an abbreviated Rondeau Redouble. Did you invent this???

No, Melani Udaeta posted one this morning, first time I'd seen it. Looks like the lines are typically 8 or 10 syllables, except the refrain. It has a nice, light, airy feel to me. Going to have to add that one to the list of forms to keep working with!
