The Human Spirit

More creative than the wildest schemes
Power released in sudden splendid splashes,
Determined to succeed in gushing streams 
The human spirit like brilliant lightning flashes.

Indisputable and determined against assault
More creative than the wildest schemes,
We see it in the smallest child and oldest adult
Heart and soul of all their imaginative dreams.

Seen clearly in most underprivileged extremes
Who frequently struggle to overcome their fate,
More creative than the wildest schemes,
The indomitable human spirit will always elevate.

Uplifting the soul to acknowledge its Maker
Sometimes appearing unexpectedly, it seems
But always there, deep inside, a mover and shaker
More creative than the wildest schemes.
