the human condition

in bondage to social etiquette, our heart paused
spontaneity was stifled, innocence was lost
we wandered earth like a soulless ghost
love betrayal came at a heavy cost

glorifying body cage we live in
truth of our Self remaining unknown
accustomed to trauma bonding with pain
we denied God’s light even after we were shown

we denied God’s light even after we were shown! Agendas…pride…greed, so many things cause denial.

Perhaps it is not so easy turning inward after all since our senses are externalised and mind-bod6 is all there is we are aware of, with soul and God being but concepts, that is until we see directly.

' we denied God’s light even after we were shown. There's so much truth in this statement, my dear friend. So sad that this is our reality. Your thoughts touch my heart. Congratulations Unseeking Seeker, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Thank you, Brandy. We can of course choose not to conform and rekindle the flame of innocence, ego diminished, inner light aglow

Dear US, Wow, this rumbles deeply, exposing the silent struggles we rarely name. I really feel that you captured the weight of existence, the cost of conformity, and the ache of knowing yet denying. Oh, so raw, haunting, and deeply felt. Your voice deserves this POTD recognition. Honored to witness it today. Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Congratulations Unseeking Seeker! We were just commenting/replying " Taming the tempest" Lay, ahh. The human condition...Our mortal coil quite restraining and oppressive at times, an unbridled spontaneity is indeed a blessing. Peace be with you

Dear seeker, This is another one of your most profound and eloquent poems that flow with such wisdom! I agree trauma bonding with pain , and glorifying the body cage we live in has become a norm and so much of what youv conveyed here , many can resonate and see around! I love as always the depth of what youv conveyed and i take a reminder to embrace light through your well woven words! Pleasure reading you always! Congratulations on receiving POTD! Well deserved feature. Sending you light always ! FAVE.

Thank you, IE dear, for your constant support. In embracing the light, we embrace ourselves, because we are the light itself.

The human condition personified Seeker, I’m not sure if it’s love betrayal we suffer from or desensitisation through suffering, but however it came about I agree we’ve lost the plot! A huge subject tackled here, in a philosophical and spiritual tone, congratulations on POTD, one that must be read with an open mind for it to sink in, cheers David

delighted these words resonate, David dear. love is the only valid and true energy, agape love, that is, an unconditional, nonjudgmental, undying effervescence, one without a second ~ the fragrance of a rose.
