The Host

The Host



                                            Safe, keep me safe,
                                they are coming fast...they are here...
                                             Circling, swarming, 
                                I am the contents of their envelope,
                                 sealed inside soon to be discarded...

                                            Help, Help me please,
                            they won't release me...they keep me here...
                                              staring, observing,
                                I am the subject of their experiment,
                                           soon I will be tested on...

                                             Leave, leave me now,
                              they are with me...they are a part of me...
                                             sharing, consuming,
                                        I am the cocoon to new life,
                                             If only it were mine...
