Author's Notes: This Terza Rima, "The Holy Dust of Creation's Seed Sown," is a collaborated poem written by Michael Clarke, Liam McDaid, and me. It was completed on June 10, 2017. This particular poem addresses the highly metaphorical theme of the "ancient dust of creation's seed" originally placed on Earth by God's very hand. Given the poem's overall message, and the metaphors, symbolism, and imagery used in deriving the verses, all three of us believe that the reader will find our poetic interpretation to be of interest. At least, all three of us hope this will be the case. This poem, as with most poems of this nature, started out in a series of fragmented thoughts and ideas. And finally, we were able to pull the whole narrative together here for this final product. The Terza Rima format seemed ideal for this write given its particular theme. This poem employs the traditional "Terza Rima" rhyming sequence used by Dante Alighieri in his famous classical poem, "The Divine Comedy," completed in the year 1320, and first published in 1555. The rhyming sequence, as modified for this poem, is: aba/bcb/cdc/ded/efe/fgf/ghg/hh. We sincerely hope you enjoy this poem!! (Gary Bateman - June 10, 2017) (Terza Rima)
