The Grumpy Toad

As I walked along Old Rine Road
I walked on by a grumpy toad
Ribbit, ribbit he croaked to me
Please move along and leave me be
If you want to see a frog
There, he lay... beneath that log
Feed him a fly or a tasty gnat
Or feed him both to get him fat
Ribbit, ribbit... he croaked his song
Ribbit, ribbit... just move along
Walk on by- leave me, alone
As I rest upon, my comfy- stone

This reads like a sweet nursery rhyme. Both children and elders will equally like this. Well done Charlie😄

Gee, he wasn't a very friendly frog was he? Maybe this lumpy, bumpy frog is guilty of his froggie friend being squashed under the log. Hmm, not to be trusted that that grumpy guy

This is fun. Love the idea of you trying to take a rest. The frog is too. You both want peace but the frog wants no company. Its humerous and sweet. Love the spring in the step feel to this poem :-D
