Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us. - Samuel Smiles Wise as the heart who simply believes, In kindness, in grace, in God – with sincere faith… Warm as the soul who colors most moments, With gentleness, acceptance, love that just keeps burning… Soundless as the echo of a still, sweet silence, Pouring over the darkness with lasting compassion… Melodious as the songbird’s crooning, singing, In laughing voices, enchanting and inviting – anticipating… Wonderous light, falling soft on the world, like autumn’s Breath, aching to share its amazement, it’s thanks… Confident, that love has won – because joy has come Down from the throne, where God Himself awaits the new… Beginning to praise, my voice is filled with pure amazement, Stirred by dreams, by prayers, by blessings… Promising the wind, the rain, the seas and forests, healing Hearts with the knowing that He is my true friend, my friend… Angel wings, feathers flowing, hesitate and hurry To remind me of the hope that comes to life in my soul, Because I believe in the One who knows me like no other, The One who told me that love is more than feeling, Love is more than giving or taking, love is the answer To every fear, to every tear, to all the darkness that comes near, Love – it stills the worst that is and reveals the light To those who believe, those who agree… His love came to us, On the night when that brightest star caressed the earth, Telling of a birth that would send hope throughout the world.

Magnificent imagery - not only in your glorious poem - such a strong Aslan style image :) I love that phrase "The One who told me that love is more than a feeling," which is a great truth. I love the book by M Scott Peck - The Road Less Travelled for that reason.. I also love at the end of your poem a hint of the Christmas story. Ooh all tingly as the nights draw in.. thankyou Regina love it. Blessings, S:) x
