The Great Election
The Great Election
By Betty Harp Butler
Two sides are battling a great fight.
Their banners have been unfurled.
The heat is on, the battle is strong,
While each man takes his turn
And tries to maintain his lead,
But…
God is in his Heaven,
And all is right in His World.
God will unfurl His banners.
In a strange way, He intervenes
In our lives.
His way is right.
He will do what is good for us.
Pray and wait on Him.
He has a say in this World.
We must wait to see what He will do.
He knows all, He sees through the fog.
His way will stand the test, He can intervene.
Wait on Him, it yet remains for us to see what He will do.
Pray again! His banner will soon be unfurled.
And we will say again—
What a great God is our God.
He watches over all in our World.
It is no secret what our great God can do.
Just hold on to his hand,
And the right way will be shown to you.
Listen…
