The Goodbye I Wouldn't Said

A love so tender is now served cold
Feelings as empty as a galaxy
The future I dreamed seems to never unfold
Could this love be just a fallacy?

Memories echo, sending me to a river of tears
Every kiss and "I love you" cuts too deep
How can I erase those precious years?
Aren’t they mine to keep?

The sun is now setting with your heart
I couldn’t raise my hand to wave goodbye.
