The Good Samaritan
A man was beaten and robbed lying on the roadside
If not for someones help this man would of died
When a young deacon came traveling along
He veered away thinking something else could go wrong
Next a rabbi came upon his way
But he was far too busy to stop on that day
But then soon a Samaritan came into sight
A place known for wickedness and all that isn't right
Well this Samaritan knelt down by his side
And a healing oil he soon gently applied
In putting him up upon his own horse
For the nearest town he set the course
He got him shelter and some food to eat
Just a stranger who he would never again meet
He paid his debt and then continued on his journey
Setting the example that Jesus wanted us all to see
