The Golden Years

Rain showers in the summer heat Elevating the oppressive humidity rankles The biggest reason it does not excite me, It aggravates my painful arthritic ankles. Old age would certainly not be complete Without these struggles to contend with So, those longing for the retirement age, Keep in mind, “golden years” is a myth! Written June 21, 2021

Ah, I'm so glad, Janice, and I wish you the very best on your cataract surgeries. I'll be seeing my eye doctor on Wednesday morning. I have macular degeneration in my left eye. It has been in remission, though, for the past year. Wish me luck!

Oh my, I don't have a cervix, LOL, but today I wish someone had transplanted my right ankle. The barometic pressure had me in such pain that I could hardly walk. Thank god it's not in my fingers...yet!

I can definitely relate, Milt. The thing I like most about growing older, is the older I get, the less peer pressure there is:)

You are so right, Daniel. There are many positive things about growing older, one of them being that I think folks give you a little more leeway in self-expression. They just nod knowingly and go one. Frankly, I like that. Yep, I think I mentioned somewhere that we no longer have high school reunions because there aren't enough of us left to afford a venue!
