The Golden Feast of Christmas

Golden Retrievers, puppies and seniors
              gather to feast every year, Christmas Eve
Those that have crossed, that have walked Rainbow Bridge, 
                                                     celebrate memories of life  

Christmases spent with their humans on earth
                       wonderful years before all the tears
held so much joy as they watched all the fun,
                                       felt all the love. let the season unite

Puppies in heaven can still see their homes
         Christmas trees glisten with promise of treats
Maybe their stockings are hiding their bones
                                       fluffy tails wag as they did long ago

Sometimes they visit, they can visit in dreams  
     in slumber, the humans who loved them can see
waking to presents and Christmastime glee
                           they know that forever their love will remain

Golden Retrievers, puppies and seniors 
                  gather each year for this memory feast
Christmas in heaven is Christmas no less
                                 and one day together, again will they be

I really like this, It reminds me of when my little Eskimo dog visited me in a dream that was so vivid, I actually thought he came to my bed. I hope it's true. I had had to give him away and it's possible those few years later , he had visited me on his way out of earth.

A lovely write. So True. I love the Rainbow Bridge poem. It is so pretty. I know they are waiting for us. After God made them and gave them to us. Blessings.....................
