The Glide of a Snake

The hide of a horse
    The tongue of an ox
  No cloak of remorse
    from a chicken with pox

  The fur of a cat
    the hoot of an owl
  The stench of a rat
    wiped clean with a towel

  The bark of a dog
    the glide of a snake
Lily pad of a frog ~
    wiped out by earthquake

Hi Gershon. Enjoyed this one. The short punchy lines come over very well. And the rhyme contrasting and comparing - brilliant. Tony

Hi Gershon, But guess that all ultimately wiped out not just the frog, with the earthquake - their fate I suppose. Happy holidays my friend. Hugs and Blessings, Jennifer.

Frogs, toads, and lizards --- all wiped out. What will boys put in their pockets on the way home from school now?!
