The Girl In the Black Frame - Part One
I look long at the girl in the black frame,
she is me some odd years ago, not that many;
I wish that I could find her again.
She looks so tranquil leaning there,
on that dappled maple tree in the summer;
her eyes are piercing me.
I still reflect that same aura as in the photograph,
it is all in the deepness of the eyes;
the years have only added to the depth of pain,
buried deep, deep within;
I wish I could find this girl again.
I lost her somewhere in the map of my life . . .
