The Gift of Peace

Peace is the tranquility a sunset brings,
Peace is the sight of a bird on the wing,
Peace is the fragrence of a prairie flower,
Peace is the freshness after a shower,
Peace is the sharing of something new,
Peace is working together in all that we do,
Peace is the warmth found in our home
safe and secure away from the storm. 
Peace is the joy of a new born calf,
Peace is the sound of our children's laugh,
Peace is the smile on the face of a friend,
Peace are the surprises brought on the wind,
Peace is the  feeling accomplishment brings,
Peace is the renewal that comes with the spring,
But most of all Lord, the peace that I ask,
Is the Peace in my soul when each day is past.
