The Gatecrasher
Death,
It comes,
Unannounced,
Uninvited,
The door swings open,
It walks in with bold steps,
Unseen by us we can’t tell,
When it approaches us to take
on a journey across territories,
Beyond boundaries to where nothing pulls back.
No gravity brings us back to our homes,
Our bodies are left behind lifeless,
Its glory and splendour mottled,
We are housed in a sized box,
We go six feet beneath,
Our epitaph reads,
All the world knows,
He knows all,
They don’t,
Life.
