The Garden Visitor

Sitting in the garden,
The sun so warm and bright,
  The lovely blossom flowers,
  Is such a beautiful sight.
  The robin happily singing,
To hear is such a delight.
  He quickly swoops in,
  Lands on the plate,
He knows I will feed him!
  Then off to the bird-bath,
  Jumps in the water,
  For a quick splash,
  Then he flies off again,
  He does make me laugh.
He will be back again tomorrow,
And more food he will have,
  So beautiful, little robin.

Hi Jeanette, what a lovely and happy rhyme poem! I enjoy the wild birds too. We have a large backyard they love to come into. We have two bird apartment houses and some have nested in them. A mother Robin weaved her own nest last spring on top of our covered front porch column. Congratulations on your book coming out. ~

Thank you so much for your kind comments. My dad had a camera in the bird box, this year. We saw the chicks hatch and their little beaks opening for the food. It was wonderful to see. It is lovely to see the birds. Thank you for reading my posts!
