The Future of the Gospel Church
The calling of God upon his church
to preach the gospel to all and more
in centuries past gospel preached powerfully
making sinners cry out realising sin's sore
But such evidence today is seldom seen
that power today seems to be unknown
faithful preachers send forth God's truth
but seems to fall on deaf ears as if stone
Most prayer meetings are few in number
the powerhouse of the church lacks the fire
few seem to think that this is God's answer
does God's word not say this, is God a liar?
The church fails to allow in the world
so that man's ideas infiltrate God's church
in so doing the power becomes void
no lasting effect at least not very much
But God's promises are always yea and amen!
His church He's promised to build for sure
on His terms alone it can only be done
so pray the true gospel will forever endure
(It is a sad day we are living in when we see a little effect in the gospel church so we need be praying for God to revive and renew His church once again as was the case in centuries gone by. )
