The Fulfilled Journey
Across the wandering life’s dynamic landscape,
the tortuous highway in the undulating topography
winds with the wheel of time to the hazy future,
I traverse following the unseen course of destiny.
Transient rainbow arches dreams onto the eyes,
changes color in the halcyon horizon, I see.
The scenic mind suffuses the perception of fulfillment,
life then becomes a chromatic canvas called beauty.
In the flushing garden path if you walk forlorn,
the hues of the sunburst sky embellish you,
you’ll see me defined for you in the floating clouds.
You won’t be lonely, for my shadow won’t ever leave you.
Across the desert dunes if you trudge desolate,
follow the mesmerizing mirage to the hazy horizon,
you’ll reach the opalescent oasis of my heart.
You won’t be alone, for I won’t ever desert you.
In the gloomy beach if you trudge abandoned,
you’ll see my longing embrace you with adornment
of the rolling waves making pearly lattice around you.
You won’t be lost, for I won’t ever forsake you.
As the spent sun sinks at the edge of the twilight zone,
across the disappearing trail of the time present,
marked by the fading footprints of accomplishment,
with the cornucopia of fulfilled life I walk the last mile.
While looking back I see the snapshots of contentment,
resplendent in the benevolent glow of God’s grace,
lighting the last part of the pathway to the graveyard,
where the past turns to nothingness in eternal bliss.
