The Forest Floor

Sometimes I wish I was a leaf That lay upon a forest floor Prone in silence Blind to the world Just me The moss And The forest floor To all you poets Let your leaves fall From the growth Your thoughts To descend And join me Upon The forest floor We lay together Reading Each other’s thoughts In verse Scribed on the leaves That litter Our Forest floor You And me We are all guilty Of the literature Litter Scattered upon our World The forest floor
