The Forest
In the forest there was a man
Who read to the trees
His verse was like a gentle breeze
The trees frolicked in stories both
Of love, of darkness and the grim
Each and every day
He would compose his verse
For him it was his only way
Nature listened and this is what
Made the sun shine
And the rains dance with the rainbows
His prose so well composed
He waltzed with the butterflies
They, mesmerized with his words so true
He would smell the lone rose that wandered from the garden far
He would gaze at clouds while he sang aloud
He, whom had no idea the majestic words he bespoke,
Why Kings and Queens would surely seek
A master of words, both wise and discreet
He was the Knight
Of the universe
