The Follies of Man
Beware of Satan, for He's a cunning
trickster, well-versed in tactics of deceit.
But alas, these words fall upon deaf ears;
sin's addiction isn't easy to defeat.
Blind to the truth, some cannot see its light,
and thus, are lost to the dark forever.
Impressed by their image in the mirror,
they consider themselves learned and clever.
The games continue; meanwhile, Satan smiles
with contentment at the follies of Man.
And navigating the dark corridors
of the mind, Evil plots its master plan.
When you realize what is happening,
you seek out God on a different path.
And prayers laced with melancholy thoughts;
you beseech His mercy, yet fear His wrath.
When seeking God's unconditional love,
it'd help to be repentant and humble.
And if you denounce sin for what it is,
its glided facade will start to crumble.
