The Five-Fold You

Like many of us, thriving to make something of ourselves, I dreamed a bit of stardom coupled with visions of grandeur. But I learned in due season that the 'best me' is the me that God made. When reality settled in, and fantasy took wings, I became 'the real me'. Although these lines were composed with you in mind, There's no doubt it fits me and millions more. *My vision of you could be a mistaken one; And what I'm seeing could be foggy and misty; But if I share this with you, I sense that there is More to be gained from what I'm seeing and hearing Than if I lay it aside and make no mention of it. I see JOB in you, a lover of God and hater of evil. BARUCH, a servant's heart with ambitions And aspirations in pursuit of greatness. MARY, A single-minded worshiper. MARTHA, a hard worker and questioner Of God's call on others. And DEBORAH, A prophetess forced to lead when others wouldn't. It's not the materials of JOB that I see in you. No, you do not have JOB's gold and real estate, And certainly not his camels and cattle. But you Have a gold mine of gifts, talents, and visions enough To stir up the gates of hell. It's those gifts bestowed by GOD Upon you that the devil desired to strip from you and render You null and void. But GOD said, "Hold on, not so fast". God saw in BARUCH the desire for greatness and informed him That it would not be because his country was going down in judgment, and He had made other plans. God's top choice is always to refine and make purer gold of us, that our choice might be like MARY's, The Worshiper. 033522PS *To a friend.KDH
