The Fire Pit

Of glittery granite cobblestones, fire bricks and cement, My fire pit flares flames as I gaze on the firmament. Orian hangs high in the dark December sky, Casseopia’s “W” delights my eye. My natal Taurus stars so prominent then, Vie with Geminid meteor showers for my wonder and ken. Stargazing views are best when it's cold outside, Though freezing nights before indoors I’d bide. Sam's masonry and my vision combined, Sturdy as a castle turret, this pit we’ve designed. Now my pellet stove isn't all that warms me winter eves, My back yard pit outdoor chill relieves, And so solid, there's no fear of thieves! M. Renee Taylor 12/3/2014
