Notes About The Poem

The Fire In Me

My love- you were the fire in me,
   the bright light that raged in my heart;
when you left- my fire burned barely,
   I sank low, from life apart.
        But slow, I found my place and part,
        the sad hurt inside, fed my fire;
        the deep pain, fuel to inspire,
        soon a mighty blaze was burning;
   and never will my fire expire . . .
This girl- so, so strong now standing.

This is a different type of poem for me to read that speaks to the strength of independence when love has been lost then found in ones self. From my perspective readers point of view. Congrats on your win!

This is an awe-inspiring write, one to fulfill the desires of one person's goals and dreams to be strong and filled with a love that can't be broken! Even if that love has been separated in some way...it still lives within in the heart...and we go on growing from our experiences and allowing ourselves to become stronger and elicit a grand piece of gratitude within life! What a fantastic poem my friend, Great work Constance!!
