First and foremost thank you so very much for your reflections on my Thrust In The Centre etc piece and of course for congratulating me. Your entry captures the very essence of this contest with your poetic depictions of storms and their aftermath. I was most impressed by your portrayal of human vulnerability also. Electrifying images too Well done Sarah Howard

When rain and thunder accompany a violent gale, we are likely to develop fear. Such occurrences will definitely unnerve us. But what keeps us calm is our trust that we are safe under God's protective wings. A beautiful poem with a neat and ingenious alignment, dear Sara.

Yes, in the western part of the State on the plains in in the desert, you can see them in the distance and they are gorgeous!

Linda, I would think you could see them coming from a long distance in those flat areas of Texas. Sometimes they can put on a show here, but I don't go out when it is lightning like that because of the chances of getting struck by it. Sara K

Congratulations! Such a powerful poem. I sensed this fear, when we were stormed with wildfires and believing and trusting in Him that it would pass. Blessings.

Marilene, that must have been scary to live close to where the wildfires were spreading uncontrolled. I think that a person has to decide when it is time to pack and leave for their own safety. We've only had one such fire anywhere close to us, but we figured that the forest rangers would be able to contain it, and they did only about 500 acres burned with a few homes in danger. Not our home. Sara K

Yann, I have never ventured out in a storm to try to do any snapshots because of the dangers a strong storm presents. I appreciate the honest review and sharing of your true feelings. Sara K

Dear Sara, As fellow human beings, we still have the tendency to be afraid, but when we are in the arms of God, we are able to stay strong and experience relief. This is a profoundly honest and genuine meditation on that fact.

Thank you, Lasaad, for the reassurance about how we as human beings all have those feelings of fear from time to time. I appreciate the visit and taking time to comment. Sara K

Dear Sara, it’s such a raw and honest reflection on how, in our humanness, we’re still prone to fear, but with His presence, we can stand firm. I love how your words speak to that fragile space where we can feel afraid but also held, comforted by the truth that we are not alone. It’s a blessing to read and reflect on. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Why, thank you, Daniel. Thanks for the spring blessing. It is getting beautiful out there, but a lot of pine pollen this morning with high winds which stirs it up and makes it worse on me and others who suffer from allergies. I love it when the woods come alive with different shades of green. Sara K

Victor, mostly I use reality to write, but sometimes that reality is used but to reach deeper than what it seems. It is a well bubbling up inside me about an issue that I am facing in reality. Thanks for stopping by. Sara K

Profound, Sara. Love the beautiful allegorical canvasing of the imaging profundity in this rhythmic flow of the poem. My own humanness was so nourished by the last two stanzas! A powerful awareness pen revealed in the reflection of nature. Thanks, for this awareness share. To God be the glory. ONE. Peace and Love.

I like them up to a certain point and then they get scary but I try with God's help to hold it together. Also, there is a storm situation on my life that I was thinking about. Thanks for the visit. Sara K
