The Fate of Snowflakes
they say no two snowflakes are alike,
I beg to differ
for me, they are all the same
since they remind me of you
glistening in beauty
as you fall—
twinkling with laughter
as you dance—
gracefully, ever so gracefully
blown by the breeze
you whisper
just like those snowflakes
of that sweet December
blanketing everything in purity
the fate of snowflakes
however, is very sad
for they melt away in the Sun
and our love was that snowflake
ever glistening, melting my heart
into a puddle of kaleidoscopic teardrops
they say no two snowflakes are alike,
I beg to differ…
for me, they are all the same
