Is that like the Hippocratic oath doctor's take? I like the phrase with the lip service but I guess I'm a bit lost on its meaning. personally I find forgiveness to be tricky to pull off. it requires that you acknowledge that someone said or did something very nasty to you but that you'll still love them and treat them with kindness. I can't help but feel cheated if I try it that way. You're right though Dane, not forgiving isn't exactly a great alternative as it does shatter our peace of mind.

You bet it does. Sometimes we have to reach deep inside ourselves to find forgiveness, but I firmly believe God wants us to show compassion and understanding. Great message in this write, Dane! Love, Carolyn
