Summer is now fading and fall draws near
Chill in the morning and last thing at night
Leaves are dying out they'll soon disappear
Before they go we'll see colours delight.
Fall paints a canvas of blues, reds and gold
As late fall comes they'll be all blown away
By strong northerly gusts biting and cold
The low lying sun will shorten our day.
All the trees now take on an eerie scene
Skeletal limbs that look spooky at night
Kids trick or treat celebrate Halloween
Wear scary ghoul outfits in the moonlight.
The fall takes a bow it's now time to go
Winter marches in with frost, ice and snow.
