The eyes of a child

Look at a ladybug
happily frolicking
on a plant
Count all her
little black dots
and let her crawl
onto your hand

Keep watching as she
spreads her wings
and carefully picks
her moment to fly
Watch how her red
catches the sunlight
as if seeing this
for the very first time

Look through the eyes
of a child, amazed
because you enjoy
this little event
immensely

Charming little poem! :) john p.s your poem reminds us all that we sometimes should try and see things with a more inquiring mind...try and reattach, if only briefly, to that sense of wonderment we once had as children.
