Notes About The Poem

The Eyes Have It

As she probes my soul with her fiery eyes Is there no way to escape their allure? For no common sense or logic applies Love is the disease, then what is the cure? Her eyes, piercing, leaving me euphoric Never have I been touched like this before Feed me not the cure, I remain, love sick In fact, my heart doth cry out, "give me more" At first contact, your eyes did speak to me For they are true lights in heaven above They speak a language so openly free But most importantly they speak of love Whenever I need the touch of your stare I know in my heart you'll always be there

Eyes are truly the window of the soul and what ever spirit exists with us here. Much can be read in a look. A very thought provoking write. It takes my mind to a broader field not just love but truth, fidelity and so much more. This is an insightful love poem but so much more. Thank you.
