The End of My Day

Another heart of gold, has been taken from our sight. Sorrow, grief and tears, come at the speed of light. Family and friends now gather, to make our final stand. Life and death now join, we are walking hand in hand. We're gathered as a group, to try and say farewell. Your life that we now celebrate, our eyes with tears do swell. You are loved and will be missed, but life will still go on. In our hearts and in our minds, you will never ever be gone. Remembered and appreciated, you shall always be. So many lives were blessed and touched, by your generosity. Today we all will mourn, all gathered here as one. Now we lay you down to rest, your work here now is done. As we watch you leave, there is one thing known for sure. We're better for having known you, we can go on, we will endure. Tomorrow is another day, we all will be ok. I look forward to seeing you again, when I reach The End of My Day.
