The Emotional Spectrum
Compassion flows, flows like a river
Flowing through hearts, making us quiver
We feel the pain, the pain of another
Feeling our way to love one another
Confidence rises, rises like the sun
Rising above doubts, doubts come undone
We stand our ground, the ground beneath our feet
Standing tall, ready to meet and greet
Courage roars, roars in the face of fear
Roaring defiance, making our stand clear
We brave the storm, the storm of life's hard knocks
Braving it all, steady as rocks
Empathy bridges, bridges minds and souls
Bridging the gap, making us whole
We walk a mile, a mile in others' shoes
Walking the talk, paying emotional dues
Excitement sparks, sparks fly high and wild
Sparking imaginations, inner child
We light the fuse, the fuse of passion's fire
Lighting up lives with the burning desire
Faith moves mountains, mountains of doubt
Moving us forward when we want to clock out
We trust the path, the path we cannot see
Trusting in things that are yet to be
Gratitude sings, sings in every cell
Singing praises for all that's well
We count our blessings, blessings great and small
Counting the ways life gives its all
Hope springs eternal, eternal as the sky
Springing us forward, teaching us to fly
We seed the future, future yet unborn
Seeding dreams from dusk to morn
Passion burns bright, bright as a flame
Burning through obstacles, putting fear to shame
We fuel the fire, the fire in our belly
Fuelling ambitions that make knees go jelly
Pride swells, swells like the ocean tide
Swelling our hearts, no need to hide
We own our worth, worth more than gold
Owning the story that makes us bold
These emotions paint, paint life's canvas wide
Painting our days with a colourful ride
We feel it all, all that makes us human
Feeling our way through this emotional blooming
So let it flow, flow through every vein
Flowing with life's emotional refrain
For in this mix, the mix of heart and mind
Mixing it up, our true selves we find
