The Dream State

In a place out of the world's view,
In a land, I’m not in control,
I see myself walking this path,
Victor or vanquished I choose not,
The former I’d indeed desire.

Worn out and weary the body,
Stationed at a place switches off,
The soul goes on a transient trip,
It transcends to another realm,
It communes with people it knows,
Or it encounters phantom beings.

The journey ends of its accord,
The soul comes back to its body,
Or to somewhere else it sojourns.
