The Deep Darkness, the Hope, Words Sent To Plead

The Deep Darkness, The Hope, Words Sent To Plead I am lost, wicked world grants no reprieve Castle of darkness, black-cast to deceive Towers staggering in the boiling mist I that dare to shake my angry left fist From the deep chasm, life is set to perish Within fated storm lies all I cherish Night- born horrors seem to forever last I pray peace, such that was lost in the past. The cold black ocean, its cavernous mouth Winter's icy cold that sends life down South No sanctuary, no joy to be had Life and sorrows, seems all of it is bad. Tomorrow, tomorrow, will it bright shine. Allowing happy days on which to dine? Robert J. Lindley, 11-29-2020 Sonnet, ( Wishing Upon Hope And Sincere Prayers)

not "Tomorrow"...but "Today"; / "Today is the day I have been looking for. All my life has been spent in preparation for it. Yesterday and tomorrow are faraway nothings- The one a faint memory, the other a vague promise. But this is my day. It offers all that God has to give, And I'm a laggard or a coward if I fail To make the most of it." Keep writing. Leanne xx

We'll hope so Robert. Life can be callous and cruel sometimes, and sometimes it can be beautiful. Good job on the poem. Beau travail.

PS I read at the bottom of this poem, that you wrote it on Nov. 29th. Your soup mail to me was Nov 28, so I see you have decided to continue to share the great gift that God gave you! Like the song says...ONE DAY AT A TIME SWEET JESUS. With love and understanding from you friend, Elaine
