The Day We Become One
Love is something that's hard to explain.
You may feel overjoyed and dance in the rain.
Love may bring tears that often come with pain.
Your lifelong partner can drive you insane!
Real love goes much deeper than pretty brown eyes,
We are often fooled by people and lies.
I grow to love you more with each passing day.
The demons in my past are surely fading away.
I now have a love who is my best friend,
I know this love is real. I don't have to pretend.
We reach out to each other by simply holding one's hand.
Look what God has done! Let's make footprints
in the sand.
Today, you become my husband and I am now your wife.
I will always be grateful God placed you into my life.
We are no longer two people but are now one.
We both remember how this all begun.
As we exchange rings and seal it with a kiss,
Had we not found each other look what we would have missed!
