The Day Time Got Away
I woke up one morning and looked at the time I was suppose to be somewhere at 7:00 but it was 10 past 9:00!
"Oh My!" I said as I jumped out of bed and shook my head.
Wont my boss be mad I'm late for work again!
I grabbed my things and ran out the door.
Got in my car and pressed on the gas.
But alas it would not start!
My heart started beating fast how could I have forgotten to fill it up with gas!?
So I had to call a cab they said they were on their way...but it was two hours before they came.
When I finally got to work no one was there.
I was confused for a moment but then things became clear.
Today was not Friday it was Saturday and it was closed on this day!.
So I turned back to the cab driver but he had already drove away.
I had to walk back home which was about 5 miles.
But on my face I kept a smile.
It was funny after it was all over and done.
Sometimes we do silly things but in the end it's fun.
And I will always remember this day when time got away.
