The Day the Sky Fell

artillery spent

               battery chickens rising

                   the avian spring

...and now for something completely different,
this eighteenth day of May, in the year,
   two thousand and twenty.

*battery - cage used for animal production
*artillery - rows and columns of batteries connected in a unit

Thank you Mark! Tough for a ku to compete in an open contest, but I do love the challenge. Do you have chickens on your farm? There's talk of repealing laws to allow chickens in town here. I'm tempted, but I'd still probably go pigeons ;),
