The Day Pele Disappeared

Team named Santos of Pelé, Coutinho, Doval, Mengálvio, Pepe and cia played against a Ceará first division team. It was not Ceará nor
the Fortaleza. It was the first half and the defense of that team was
almost nullifying Santos's fabulous attack.
Nothing worked: neither Pepe's kicks, nor the little tables of
Pelé and Coutinho ... nothing was undone by the defender "Chico Paredão...-
that marked Pelé with total efficiency: it looked equal to Ramos
Delgado, or Figueroa ...
Result, first half 0X0, score naught ...
In the second half, after 30 minutes everything seemed the same ...
suddenly bam! 1X0 ... there it goes, ... there it goes, bang! 2X0.
Chico Paredão with bulging eyes "hunted" the Pelé ... and
the ball ... where ... where ... bam 4X0.
In the final Santos 5X0 in fifteen minutes ...

Chico what happened? ...
- How are you? ...
Where is it?
- Where is he...?
- Who?
- Pele, Pele gone?
Pelé disappeared from Chico Paredão's field of vision and scored 4
goals They say the defender never recovered from the trauma
and ended career.
That day became known as: the day Pelé disappeared ...
