The Day I Gave

The Day I gave, it was Christmas for me
Where the old man lying on the street could not feed
I moved a step forward and gave him some food to eat
For me that was Christmas the day I could see someone eat

A woman in the corner shivered with cold,
No fire to warm her no blanket to mould
I moved a step forward and gave her my jacket to warm her
For me that was Christmas the day I gave what I wore

And as I walked down the street
I saw a kid running with bare feet
With nails piercing and stones hurting
It was a little boy so innocent and sweet
I stopped him and gave him my shoes to run
For me that was Christmas the day my feet had non

For the day I gave, it was Christmas for me
