The Day After

After the new moon has passed
I wonder if it's passing by
Or if I should make wishes
To send me on my way
To a better life of blessings,
Not merely to watch it fly.

In the blur of living
Mundane moments take time away
From those of magical purpose,
So carry it in your pockets
Or on a window sill,
All alone, you'll feel less.

Talking about earth's stones,
Perhaps some other prop
Or crafty things homemade
By your very own
Two hands with intents
Borrowed from your psyche.

It isn't hard,
Many ideas bloom
In gloomy October
Or any occasions
You'll find inspirations,
And magic inside.

Come moons
Or sunshine's,
Be witchy
Not b i t c h y,
Just rally
For life.

*This isn't a prefect Diminished Hexaverse, but based on it with the addition of a word count rather than strictly syllabic count. Thanks for understanding what I'm doing with form here.

Nice, Kathy! Early on, it reminded me of Perry Como's (old) hit, 'Catch a Falling Star and Put it in your Pocket.' (It's from the 1950's). Cheers, Gershon
