The Dance of...  in 16 lines or less Poetry Contest
Sponsored by: Miranda Hawley

Daisy danced the wild dance of jealousy Her dancing was her revenge weaponry She did the can-can To excite her man Whom she had caught enjoying revelry. She had been queuing at the bar for drinks When suddenly Daisy had an instinct She turned and what shock He was in lip-lock And most certainly enjoying high jinks. So she danced, for her man was a loser Should have left the alien much sooner Her Dear John letter Said she'd done better And found herself a huge hearted bruiser.

I saw that it was a sixteen line contest and made a mistake I was wrong and each verse was a true limerick form. I apologise for my mistake hugs Shadow

Sorry to disagree Shadow, it is truly a Limerick trio to me, can you explain why you thought otherwise… Beryl

The man who flirted and rallied around with other ladies needed such a treatment. Your limerick has made me smile. Very hilarious dear Beryl.

What a loser with a pretty date like you he messes around, so happy you got rid of him and found someone else. The first one sounded like real sleeze bag. Hugs and blessings dear friend Jennifer. .

I absolutely love the way this is written dear beryl, the best revenge and weapon for those jealous is kindness and success. I love the opening especially and also how youv written “ So she danced, for her man was a loser Should have left the alien much sooner “ made me smile! Yes better late than never! Love the alliterations too, seamless. Pleasure reading your work dear beryl. Sending you light

I am yet to pick a dance yet, but as always you write to the theme so well.. Jealousy is something everyone endures at some point in their lives... some are just a lot worse than others..

Thank you Solent One, just wrote this quote - “When one buries jealousy deep down in the ground, instantly lighthearted happiness is found.” ~ Beryl
