The Cross and the Tomb

The cross it seems is everywhere
Places of worship, places of evil
Special places, everyday places

Seems everyone has seen the cross
And everyone wears the cross

We have brought the cross to the world
And the world has reduced it to an ornament

No one asks about the cross
No one wants to know its meaning

Seems the more the spotlight shines upon it
The more its light diminishes

To some the cross was the end
The final point of farewell to a misunderstood man

But to those who know,
The cross was but the entrance to the tomb,
And the tomb the gateway to Heaven

The world gave to God His Son on a cross
God gave the world an empty tomb

Amen..I ask myself do I share that truth? Some may want to hear, others no.
