The Covid Blues
The Covid Blues
My gas tank’s four quarters above empty
My shoes, they show no wear
I think at least four inches
Have been added to my hair
I cannot say I hunger
I am full on rice and beans
I eat them almost nightly
No longer fitting in my jeans
I spend hours on the interweb
The toilet paper supply is low
What I find to buy and place in my cart
Goes missing as to checkout I go
I didn’t start my garden
My paint’s still in the tubes
I haven’t got the virus
Still I have the Covid Blues
